Ingredients
Baby Dills In A Blanket
- 2 (8 oz) tubes crescent roll dough
- 6 oz cream cheese
- 1 (24 oz) jar baby dill pickles
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried dill
- Pinch red pepper flakes
- Optional: ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and allow easy cleanup.
- Prepare Pickles: Drain the baby dill pickles from their jar thoroughly and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess moisture until ready to use.
- Make Cream Cheese Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese with garlic powder, dried dill, and a pinch of red pepper flakes. Mix well until the mixture is smooth and all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Assemble Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles. Working one triangle at a time, spread a scoop of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of the triangle. Place one baby dill pickle on top of the cream cheese, then carefully roll the dough towards the pointed end, encasing the pickle inside. Place each rolled piece seam side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake the assembled rolls in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is puffed and golden brown on the edges.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the rolls to cool on the sheet for 10 to 15 minutes to prevent burning from hot pickles. Serve warm with optional ranch dressing for dipping.
