Description

Pumpkin Smoothie – a quick and delicious pumpkin smoothie recipe made with wholesome, real-food ingredients. This refreshing smoothie tastes just like a pumpkin pie and is perfect for a cozy fall breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free plain yogurt (vanilla flavor works too)
  • 2/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1/41/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 24 tablespoons real maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • handful of ice cubes

Toppings (Optional)

  • Regular or dairy-free whipped cream
  • Cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the frozen banana, dairy-free yogurt, pumpkin puree, unsweetened almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and ice cubes to a high-speed blender. Start with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup to control sweetness.
  2. Blend Smooth: Blend the mixture on HIGH until smooth and creamy, pausing to scrape down the sides of the blender as needed to ensure even mixing.
  3. Adjust Sweetness and Consistency: Taste the smoothie and add more maple syrup if desired. To thicken, add more frozen banana, yogurt, or ice cubes. To thin, add an extra splash of almond milk.
  4. Serve: Pour the finished smoothie into a glass. Optionally, top with regular or dairy-free whipped cream and garnish with a cinnamon stick for added flavor and festive presentation.

Notes

  • If you plan ahead, freeze pumpkin puree in ice cube trays overnight to use instead of ice cubes for a thicker smoothie.
  • To thicken the smoothie, add more frozen banana, yogurt, or ice cubes.
  • To thin the smoothie, add additional unsweetened almond milk.
  • Toppings like dairy-free whipped almond milk or coconut milk whipped cream work well as alternatives.
  • Optional add-ins include chia seeds, ground flaxseeds, plant-based or other protein powders, or collagen for an extra nutritional boost.
